In the past, the SWDCARC offered testing by Volunteer Examiners (VE’s) by appointment. Study classes were also offered from time to time. With the ease of access to the study materials and online testing on the ARRL web site, we now encourage anyone who would like to get an Amateur Radio license or upgrade their current license to go to https://www.arrl.org/licensing-education-training and follow the instructions and information provided there. All requirements and instructions are clearly stated on the ARRL web site.
By doing the online testing, the new license will be available much quicker than in the past.
